The new man in Christ

Today’s Epistle: 2 Corinthians 5:17 (AMP)
“Therefore if any person is [engrafted] in Christ (the Messiah) he is a new creation (a new creature altogether); the old [previous moral and spiritual condition] has passed away. Behold the fresh and new has come!”
The concept of “in Christ” is a consummate declaration of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus. “In Christ” is a habitation, abode or dwelling place for Sons of God. It is a realm of faith in the Heavenly places where Christ is and Sons access or take their abode by faith. This realm “in Christ” becomes the experience of every Son at the point they awake to the new creation reality. But there is an error in the body of Christ where Christians have been made to believe that when you are born again, it is just a platform or starting point for you to start seeking deliverance against the works of the devil and other forms of demonic or spiritual attacks. This is false and erroneous. When you are born again, you are immediately translated from the dominion of darkness into the kingdom of light where there is no longer darker. Beloved, your sanctification or new creation experience is an instantaneous event and not a process. This implies the moment you wake up to the reality of the new creation, at that same moment, you are totally delivered from all powers of darkness and not later on, through prayer, fasting or casting and binding of demons. When you confess the name of Jesus by faith as a consequence of hearing the word of Christ, instantly there is a deliverance that takes place in your Spirit man that sets you free from all demonic influences or generational curses without casting and binding of demons.
Philippians 2:11 “…and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
The word “Lord” is the Greek word “koo'reeos” which means supreme in authority, and by implication talks of the supreme authority of Jesus over all infirmities or demonic influences that had ever confronted. This is the reality and authority at the mention of the Lordship of Jesus at the point of your regeneration. You become entirely a new person at the new creation experience. What actually happens at regeneration is not an adjustment or change of your human spirit but the introduction of an entire New Life in you in the person of Christ through the Spirit of God. Thus, the new creation all together refers to a new person (Christ) and not a cancellation of your past. ‘The old is gone’ denotes your death and total end of existence while ‘the new has come’ signifies clearly, the birth of Christ in you with an entire new beginning that had no past at all. The reason many get born again and still run to and fro for deliverance is a product of unbelief and the ignorance of the function of the life they have received. You can’t be born again and at the same time possessed of a demon or an evil spirit. This is the frequent experience with many Christians but it is so because they are not making use of their new birth in Christ or totally don’t know what they have received. Such Christians have a regenerated spirit with a soul that needs re-education in order to fully live the new creation experience free of oppression. What now lives in you is actually Christ and no satanic influence has authority over you.

Hence, what you must bear in mind is that at regeneration, it was your Spirit (inner) man that was regenerated (vitalized) and not your body or outward appearance. Don’t get confused with the unchanged state of your physical body to think nothing really changed in your inner man (2Corithians 5:7 “For we walk by faith, not by sight”). Indeed, you have a new Spirit altogether with your old moral and spiritual condition past away because you died. These no longer exist and you maintain this stand point by faith

Ezekiel 36:26 “A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.”

You are not possessed, afflicted or oppressed as a new creation but you are walking in the class of God because of His Spirit and natures that now lives in you. With this life, you are not just a human being but one with a supernatural (new creation) life. The word supernatural refers to a life above the natural. The regenerated Christian has a life which supersedes the natural biological human life. You are not controlled by sentiments, feelings and blood detects of your body because this life has nothing or does not originate from the blood but is born of the word of God. Are you in Christ? Then you are free from all demonic influences.

Confession of Faith/ Prayer for the Day

Heavenly Father,

thank you for regeneration that makes me a partaker of the life of Christ. I have Christ the anointed one dwelling in me by reason of my identity in Christ and therefore I am anointed. The curse/ yoke has been transferred from my life because Christ the anointed one lives in me, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Thought for the Day

The latest convert in Christ is superior to Satan. You are not and cannot be possessed by evil spirits as a new creation.

Start in Grace: continue in Grace

Today’s Epistle: Galatians 2:18 (KJV) “For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor.”

There is a gospel of the “Circumcision” and “Uncircumcision” and the apprehension of these two gospels and to whom it is dispensed (addressed) is primordial to be understood by every Son in Christ to ensure they start in Grace and continue therein. (Colossians 2:2-7 “As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.”) In the Gospel of John 1:17, the Apostle John maintains that the law (works) came through Moses but Grace and truth came through Jesus. This expression by Saint John denotes a delimitation of two remarkable dispensations in the gospel or bible history. It is very important for every Christian to have a full comprehension of these two dispensations to avoid a mix up of the message of grace that has been handed to the body of Christ. Too many Christians have not understood that there are two sides of the gospel in the bible and because of this ignorance, many at the beginning start building their Christian lives on grace but go back to the law (Moses and the earthly ministry of Jesus Christ); thereby destroying the Grace they started building their lives on, making themselves transgressors in the eyes of God. To start in grace and continue in the law makes you a transgressor in the sight of God because His grace becomes of none effect to you. The Apostle Paul in this Epistle to the Galatians saw many Christians who started in grace but continued their Christian lives on the teachings of Moses and the earthly ministry of Jesus Christ and marveled that they were soon removed from Him that called them into Christ (Grace) unto another Gospel (law), which was not all together another gospel. Galatians 3:3 “Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh”. How you start your Christian life as a Son is not important but how well you finish the race (Ecclesiastics 7:8). You can start well but not end well. Many are in this confusion in the present day church; preaching the gospel of circumcision (law or Ten Commandments) to the uncircumcision (body of Christ). This is an error and will only frustrate the Grace of God on you. Make sure you hold fast to teachings of the Apostle Paul on the Grace of Christ to ensure you continue in the Faith. Don’t be a transgressor before God by holding to the teachings of the Law. Abba Father!

Confession of Faith/ Prayer for the Day

Heavenly Father, thank you for the free gift of grace I have received by faith without the works of the law. I am building my faith on the teachings of grace that builds faith in me and not death, sin and condemnation. I am victorious by the enablement of the free gift of grace that comes by the hearing of the word of Christ in Jesus name, Amen!

Thought for the Day

You are a transgressor if you start in grace but continue in the law that teaches you to trust in your own works for salvation.
